Alafair and Bruce's Wedding

Alafair and Bruce were so much fun to work with!  They had a beautiful wedding at St. John's the Divine, followed by a reception at the Houston Country Club.  The guys began the morning shooting clays at George Bush Park, which was a fun break from the normal pre-ceremony photos.

Here are some of my favorites from a wonderful wedding day.  Thank you Alafair and Bruce for asking me to be your wedding photographer!

Katherine's Bridal Portraits

I had the pleasure of working with Katherine for her wedding, and I cannot find enough wonderful things to say about her and her husband, Michael.  They're both such fun, kind and genuine people, and they're true encouragers...they're those kind of people that after you've hung out with them, you just feel great!

Here are some of my favorites from Katherine's bridal portrait session at the River Oaks Garden Club Forum.  I'll be posting photos from their wedding soon.

Sally and Mac's Engagement Portraits

Here is an engagement portrait session from this past summer with my good friends Sally and Mac, who got married this past July in Biloxi, Mississippi.  We had a blast together, and perfect weather for our shoot at Washington on the Brazos (the birthplace of Texas), outside of Houston.

Also, congratulations to two other great friends, Christine and Nate, who are getting married today.  I will not be photographing this one, just enjoying it!  But I did get to take Christine's bridal portraits in late December, and I cannot wait to post them.  We did a session at Enchanted Rock outside of Fredricksburg, Texas.  Photos will be up on the blog soon!

Here are some of my favorites from Sally and Mac's engagement shoot.

Conspirare- New York

Last February I had an amazing opportunity through fellow photographer Karen Sacher, to work with a chroal ensemble called Conspirare, lead by Craig Johnson.  The group had traveled to New York to preform around the city, and Karen and I followed them for a couple days, taking photos of their performances and rehearsals.  I also did some portraits of Craig.

Listening to their group was extraordinary and deeply inspirational!  Craig is a very kind person, and is so passionate about what he does.  I loved watching him work and orchestrate the group with such love and intensity.  It was a gift for me to witness an artist so connected to and passionate about his work and craft.  I look back at this trip last February with such fond memories.  Anytime your in New York creating work, it is wonderful, but to accompany Craig and his group, it was an experience I'll never forget.

Please visit their website, www.conspirare.org, to read about their group and mission, and to see a listing of their upcoming shows in Austin, Texas.
